Just wanted to provide you some feedback.  We took Ben's Cobra to
Backwoods' open practice on Saturday.  I thought it might take him
awhile to get used to it.  It took him about 1 practice session.  By the
end of the day he was considerably faster on his Cobra than his KTM.  On
Sunday/race day, Ben won the first moto very easily and Scott was
worried about others complaining so I had him finish moto 2 on his KTM.
It wasn't worth the effort to explain that the KTM 50 Sr and the King
Cobra are the same class of bike.  No doubt his riding on Saturday and
briefly on Sunday opened some eyes on what the Cobra is capable of.  I
have no doubt we made the right move in switching and just wanted to
again say thanks for supporting Ben and I hope we can help you sell some
more Cobra's here locally.

I had the problem with the ignition on my 08 King. I called Cobra to ask what I might do to help the problem. I did not expect anything from Cobra in terms of warranty because I knew when I bought the bike (or any other race bike) it came with no warranty whatsoever. When I called Cobra they sent out the complete PVL ignition system as well as a new set of reeds (because the ignition had damaged mine) at NO cost to me. This is above and beyond IMO. Cobra has done an excellent job when it comes to standing behind the product they sell. I would also like to thank John Heath with Heath Racing for his help making the change. It was before the race on Sat morning. I know John had a thousand other things he could have been doing like taking care of his own bikes or getting his kids ready to race. Yet, he helped me with my bike untill we knew it would run perfect. IMO Cobra is a great company and Heath Racing is an awsome dealer. Now the question everyone wants answered. The bike ran great with the PVL ignition. Connor pulled awesome holeshots all day and won every heat and main he raced in. We had near full gates and very good riders on Cobras, KTMs, and Polini. I ran the stock 14-38 setup where I would run 13-38 on my 07 at the same track. Connor weighs 67lb and the bike would carry the front wheel with him up on the tank with his head in front of the handlebars. The 08 King has a TON of bottom end power and I would encourage anyone thinking of buying one to do so. The 08 is truely an improvement over the 07. Thank you once again Cobra for taking care of the issue and thank you John Heath for all your help.
